IMPORTANT FEEDBACK REQUIRED: FIRE WORKS

To allow this approach to be well informed ad representative of the bulk of the communities' views your responses to the following questions will be appreciated.

With the festive season approaching the issue of fire works will again be topical and very much a heated subject.
No new decisions on w=hat will or will not be allowed within the Emalahleni Municipal Area has been taken yet and following the experience of the past years as well as engagement with stakeholders we are busy formulating an approach for this season.

To allow this approach to be well informed ad representative of the bulk of the communities’ views your responses to the following questions will be appreciated.

Please highlight which option you prefer and also state the area you are residing in with your answer to allow us to consider alternatives:

Option A: No fireworks of any sort in the Emalahleni Local Municipality’s area of jurisdiction, on no day at all.

Option B: No rules, can use it any time and place uing the feastive season.

Option C Can use it any place but only on the 31st of December from 21H00 to the 1st of January 02H00

Option D: May only use it on specified times and days at demarcated areas similar to 2015 and no where else. If you prefer this option, please indicate where you would like us to allow these areas to be, eg Klipfontein, Highveld Mall, KG Mall etc.

Option E: Fireworks are prohibited but one or more venues will be open to the public to attend fireworks displays by professional companies on the 31st of December.
