What started as a collision between two vehicles ended up being a mass of collisions at the intersection of the R547 and R544.
The initial collision occurred when two vehicles collided head on at the intersection on October 2 at about 18:05, thereafter another two vehicles collided with one another.

Seven vehicles were damaged in three separate accidents shortly after one another at the R547/R544 intersection.
The road was cordoned off to alleviate and control traffic flow. Roughly an hour had passed when another collision occurred just 300m from the initial collision. Three cars were involved in the last collision.
Of the three collisions only six of the drivers sustained injury, and minor injury at that. Two of the drivers were transported to hospital to be placed under observation.
“Motorist are cautioned to obey road and traffic signs as that is a 60km/h zone. We also advise motorists to maintain a safe following distance,” said Sgt Yster Shabangu, Kriel Police spokesperson.
