
Daily operations by Ogies Police yielded positive results and 19 arrests of which nine were theft.
During the period of February 6 to 12, Ogies Visual Policing and Detectives Unit carried out operations that resulted in the arrests of 19 suspects.
Five suspects were arrested for general theft, four were arrested for theft from a motor vehicle and two for malicious damage to property. Additionally there were single arrests for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, illegal immigration, culpable homicide, public violence, shoplifting, rape, arson, and reckless and negligent driving.
Police caution the community to ensure that their valuables are not kept in plain sight, especially when they leave them in their vehicles, rather lock your valuables in the boot or keep them under the seats of your car out of sight.
