The children enjoyed their time on the stage and, though some of them battled with stage fright, they were encouraged by an appreciative audience to try again

The play ‘Peter Pan’ was a great hit at St Thomas during the school’s Foundation Phase (Grade 1 – 3) cultural evenings.

The evenings also included additional cultural items as learners showcased their talents in other departments than acting, which included marimba-playing, dancing, poetry recitals, speeches, and choir singing.

The children enjoyed their time on the stage and, though some of them battled with stage fright, they were encouraged by an appreciative audience to try again.

The evenings saw all participants coming onto stage to have their ‘moment of fame’, which was often followed by relieved smiles and new confidence.
