A fatal shooting occurred in the early morning hours of July 21 in Opperman Street.
It is still unclear at this time exactly how events unfolded; however it can be confirmed that the suspects opened fire on the police – who had no choice but to return fire.
The forensic pathologist and SAPS canine unit arrived at approximately 08:30.
A portion of Opperman Street remains closed off due to the active crime scene at this time.
