Two young men went to the tuck-shop to buy some cool drink and snacks, but were horrified by what they saw.
On June 17, at approximately 19:00, two friends went to buy candy, but their incessant knocking at the door went unanswered.
One of the men knew the tuck-shop owner well, and decided to push on the unlocked door; which immediately swung open.
The two men walked through the house looking for the tuck-shop owner and calling his name, but heard no reply.
At one point, one of the men decided to check the tuck-shop owner’s bedroom to see if he was perhaps there.
The two men were shocked to find his corpse in his bed.
It appears that the man had been shot in his sleep; however nothing had been stolen from his person or the premises.
The police are investigating all viable leads.
Persons with any information on this heinous murder are urged to come forward.
