Decomposed body found in Old Coronation

A body of a woman was found decomposed in Old Coronation.
The body was alleged to be raped before decomposition which remains a possibility so far.
The body was found by a woman who was going to fetch some coal in coal mountain on Wednesday, October 23 at around 09:35.
The woman alleged that she ran to call people and alerted them that she spotted the body of a lady.
The police alleged that the body had cuts on the private part and there was blood coming out from her nose.
The police alleged that there could be a possibility that the woman was raped as her legs were wide open with the left leg still wearing the part of the jeans she was wearing and there were used condoms found next to her body.
It is alleged that the deceased’s mother was looking for her since Sunday, October 20.
Witbank SAPS communications officer Captain Eddie Hall said that the police could see that the woman was raped on the state the body was found in.
He added: “We are still waiting for the results from the laboratories to confirm the reason for the death of the woman.”
