An accident on the old Middelburg Road (R555) claimed two lives, one of which was a police official from Middelburg.
The accident, which can only be described as horrific, occurred on Wednesday, March 3 and left traffic backed-up for kilometres on both sides of the road.

There was a suspect in the police van that sustained injuries, he was rushed to hospital.
