Police are looking for two escapees

Three suspects escaped from Kriel Police Station.

Three suspects escaped from custody from Kriel SAPS.

One of the three suspects, Siyabonga Mlotshwa (18) was rearrested after a manhunt by police just a few hours after escaping.

Police are still searching for Njabulo Nelson Khoza (35) arrested for robbery and Thabo Motaung (24) arrested for housebreaking and theft and illegal immigrant. Police have opened three cases of escape from lawful custody.

The trio escaped on April 7 at 03:00.

“Police members who were on duty heard a noise from the cells where six prisoners were locked, on the arrival on cells they noticed that the cells were broken and only three prisoners were left inside and the other three prisoners were nowhere to be found,” Brig Leonard Hlathi, a provincial police spokesperson told WITBANK NEWS.

An unknown object was used to remove the bricks to make a hole through which they used to escape.
