Teachers and learners injured after car bursts through staff room at Kopanang Secondary School, eMalahleni

Local news | Education MEC Bonakele Majuba is on her way to Kopanang Secondary School to investigate the accident that led to the injuries of two assistant teachers and two learners.

Two teachers and two learners of Kopanang Secondary School were injured and taken to hospital yesterday afternoon (November 10).

According to the Mpumalanga Department of Education, one of the school’s teachers accidentally drove into the staff room with her car.

The injured were rushed to the nearest clinic. The seriousness of their injuries is not known yet.

Mpumalanga MEC of Education Mr Bonakele Majuba will visit the school today (Thursday, November 11) to gather more information about the circumstances that led to the incident.
