Elderly treated with Ben Fleur Market funds

The party took place on December 8 at Ben Fleur Boulevard with guests from Schoongezicht Luncheon Club.

A Christmas party for the elderly was this year hosted with the exhibitor’s funds from the Ben Fleur Market.

For the past four years, the party is being held at Misty Creek Spur for the children. This year the elderly was on the receiving end because lockdown had a great impact on them as well.

The party took place on December 8 at Ben Fleur Boulevard with guests from Schoongezicht Luncheon Club.

Immergroen Old Age Home ensured that they had transport to Ben Fleur Boulevard, Misty Creek Spur who sponsored the venue and the food and the money that was raised from the Ben Fleur Market day was used to buy each of them a beautiful gift.

“We would like to thank every exhibitor at our market, each person that supported the market, Megan Moffit and Peter Brown that sponsored items towards the gift bags, Immergroen for their assistance and Misty Creek Spur for always being willing to help and for sponsoring the food,” said Monica Joao, from Ben Fleur Boulevard Marketing.

“We cannot help everyone, but everyone can help someone. We love giving back and experiencing the joy of those that attended the Christmas Party.”
