The Department of Social Development (DSD) Mpumalanga, MEC Lindiwe Ntshalintshali says that she is happy with the Pine Ridge Combined School state of readiness for the 2022 academic year.

As part of the 2022 school re-opening programme, the MEC Ntshalintshali together with the Circuit one school’s manager, Ms Mumsy Mahlangu had a morning visit at Pine Ridge Combined School on January 12, to monitor the state of readiness for the 2022 academic year.

The DSD together in partnership with the ‘Sfiso Mahlangu Foundation’ also donated approximately eight boxes of sanitary packs to assist female learners, to ensure that these learners continue coming to school instead of being absent for days due to the issue.

“I’m delighted with the state of readiness of the school when it comes to adhering to Covid-19 protocols, starting time of the school, all teachers being at work and doing their job,” Mahlangu proudly concluded.
