Memorial ride in memory of Susan
Middelburg Cycle Club greeted an unbelievable friend and a fellow cyclist with a loveable heart.
Susan Dannler and her life partner, Andre van der Berg were members of Middelburg Cycle Club and they really enjoyed wearing the colours of the club with pride.
On Wednesday evening, January 26 a memorial ride was hosted by the club in memory of Susan at Midwater Spar in the evening.
Susan died after she was hit by a car on Wednesday morning, January 19 in Bela Bela when she was out for her training ride for the Mpumalanga Championships.
She sustained serious head injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where the doctors did everything possibly to save her life. Approximately two hours after the accident she passed away in hospital.
Various cyclists from eMalahleni and Middelburg attended the memorial ride. Most of the cyclists brought flowers and they were placed by her photo and the candle that was lit for her.

Susan will be missed; she had a way touching everyone’s lives.
