Baby dies in hospital after accident on N12

Bakkie rolled on N12 highway, two family members died due to their injuries. 

The seven-month-old baby who was rushed to hospital after a serious accident tragically also passed away yesterday morning (Sunday, January 6).

The accident occurred on the N12 highway on Saturday afternoon, February 5 when a white bakkie travelling to Ogies rolled.

The vehicle came to a stop on the opposite side of the highway.

One person passed away on the scene and the other four family members in the bakkie, including the baby, were taken to various hospitals for treatment.

The baby who was critical was airlifted to another hospital for further treatment but sadly passed away in hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
