Blackhill fight leads to death

Police arrived at the scene next to the old Ogies Road, where other residents were gathered at the gate of a house.

What was supposed to be a day of relaxation turned into a day that shocked many residents.

On Saturday, February 5 residents of Blackhill called the police after a fight transpired in the neighbourhood.

Police arrived at the scene next to the old Ogies Road, where other residents were gathered at the gate of a house.

As they entered, they found a man who was lying face down with wounds on his head, arm and upper body.

He was declared dead on the scene.

Upon investigation, police found out through eyewitnesses that there was a fight that had led to the man being stabbed.

Another man that was allegedly part of the fight was said to have gone to the hospital as he had also sustained injuries during the fight.

A case of murder was opened and the suspect is known to the police.
