McDonald’s murder – victim’s funeral service is taking place in Eastdene in Middelburg today
The man that was fatally stabbed at McDonald’s over the weekend, will be laid to rest today.
Just 12 days shy of his 29th birthday, Mr Trevor John’s life was celebrated yesterday.
A viewing will take place at the family’s home in Eastdene today, June 22, followed by a funeral service held at Eastdene Christian Fellowship.
John was fatally stabbed at McDonald’s in the early hours of June 18.

A hold-up in the queue at the McDonald’s drive-through was seemingly the reason why Mr Tshepo Basoma allegedly stabbed John after he asked why Basoma was not moving forward to allow the other cars to move forward.
It is also alleged that Basoma stabbed John’s two brothers, who rushed to help him after witnessing what was happening.
Basoma will appear in Witbank Magistrate’s Court for a second time today. He is still in custody.
