Tributes pour in after well-known karate sensei dies in crash

The tragic news of the death of sensei Filip Houndalas came as a shock.

The sad news that sensei Filip Houndalas died in an accident earlier today, bought the karate community to a standstill.

It is still not clear what led to the accident that claimed the life of the 56-year-old karate icon.

According to reports the accident happened on the N12 at the Phola off-ramp.

Sensei Filip, a seventh dan black belt, was for many years the instructor of the Samurai Karate Dojo.
