Pray for Alessia as she gets ready for another chemo round

Mom Luzaan Tolmay opens up in an emotional interview about her daughter’s battle against cancer.

WITBANK NEWS’s front page this week saw some many people praying for Alessia Tolmay.

This nine-year-old girl is fighting a battle against Ewing’s sarcoma, which is a rare type of bone cancer.

Mom Luzaan Tolmay said Alessia experienced severe back pain, which escalated dramatically when she woke up without any function in her legs in October last year.

“We immediately rushed her to the hospital on October 6 for X-rays and were later referred to Steve Biko in Pretoria where a large mass growing in Alessia’s chest that was intricately connected to her spine, was discovered,” Luzaan said.

Testing confirmed that the mass was cancerous.
