Five of the seven suspects arrested earlier this week after a shootout in Tasbet Park appeared in court this afternoon.
Two of the suspects are still in hospital after being wounded during the shootout on April 3.
The case was postponed to April 12 for a formal bail application. The suspects are still in custody.
“The suspects face charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of prohibited and unlicensed firearms and ammunition as well as with CIT-related offences,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo from the office of the provincial commissioner in Gauteng.
The court appearance follows an alleged attempted cash-in-transit heist.
