Spring into the beat with eMalahleni’s first female PengDuo

As eMalahleni gears up for spring, PengDuo is ready to bring the ultimate spring vibes to town

Spring is in the air, and with it comes new beginnings, fresh energy, and exciting entertainment.

As the town awakens to bring the heat to eMalahleni’s entertainment scene, Zizipho Happiness Matiwane and Siphesihle Hope Tshabangu, known as Sihlepeng, are the dynamic duo behind PengDuo, eMalahleni’s first female DJ duo.

“I have always thought I would be a doctor or engineer, but deep down, I’ve always wanted to be in the entertainment industry, but I was so shy, so I thought I wouldn’t fit in,” said Zizipho.

Zizipho, a mother and student, pursued electrical engineering at a local TVET College.

However, after losing her mother, she had to provide for her family. A friend referred her to Lulu Camellia, who hired her as a hostess at a local shisanyama. There, she met Sihlepeng, and they started their journey together.

PengDuo, with its dynamic sounds, compelling performances, and infectious passion, has the potential to take eMalahleni by storm.

“I started working as a waitress and hostess, and that’s where I met Zizipho, we shared a passion for DJing and decided to learn together,” said Sihlepeng.

Their next performances promise to be the highlight of spring, so don’t miss out! The couple began learning DJing at Phola Ogies, and after a few months apart, they reconnected and continued their lessons with Chillibite.

They titled themselves PengDuo after being members of a group called Peng Girls. Innocent Letlaka mentioned them on Facebook, and they started receiving gigs.

They have a manager, Tyson Mabena, and a choreographer, Melokuhle Mkhatshwa, and are ready to take the stage.

“I connect more with the audience when doing my MC lines because I talk about what I’m doing and give more energy. My favourite song is by Boohle, and I enjoy events where we can dance due to the setup,” said Sihlepeng.

As eMalahleni gears up for spring, PengDuo is ready to bring the ultimate spring vibes to town.

Get ready to dance, sing along, and experience the best of local entertainment.

“Success comes from sacrifice. We’re willing to put in the hard work and time to build PengDuo and see it grow,” said Zizipho.

Don’t miss out on PengDuo’s upcoming gigs and events.

Follow them on social media to stay updated on their latest performances and behind-the-scenes peeks into their journey.

Let the spring vibes begin!
