44 accidents reported in eMalahleni over the weekend

Perciville Motloung from PEMS Emergency Services warns that the r547 is a very narrow road.

This weekend has been chaotic on eMalahleni’s roads.

All together, 44 accidents were reported, of which two were fatal accidents.

On September 29 the first fatal accident was reported on the R555 Old Ogies Road.

A bakkie, with three people inside overturned. The driver of the bakkie was declared dead on the scene.

Just after 23:00 an accident on the R547 between Thubelihle and Ga-Nala was reported.

Perciville Motloung from PEMS Emergency Services said when he arrived on the scene, one person already passed on.

“Three people sustained moderate to serious injuries. ER24 transported two patients, and unfortunately one passed on before arriving at the hospital. One patient was transported by Mpumalanga EMS to Witbank Hospital,” Motloung said.

He warned motorists to be very careful as the R547 is very narrow.
