Blossoming bonds between young and old

The pre-schoolers from Circle of Influence eagerly showered their elderly friends from Eden Park with love and attention.

As spring’s warmth and vitality filled the air, Circle of Influence Pre-School welcomed 23 special guests from Eden Park Retirement Home for a joyous celebration of new beginnings.

 

The pre-schoolers eagerly showered their elderly friends with love and attention, marking the perfect blend of youthful energy and seasoned wisdom.

On Friday, September 6, the day unfolded with an enchanting performance of singing and dancing by the little ones, leaving their senior friends beaming with delight. A delicious tea followed, filled with laughter and warm conversation.

The children then surprised their guests with thoughtful gifts that spread joy and gratitude.

Pastor Deon Scheepers blessed the gathering, and the Emalahleni Fire Station added an exciting element with a demonstration and safety awareness session, teaching the children and their visitors valuable lessons about fire prevention.

“It was our pleasure to love and support our elderly people who have given birth to this generation today,” said principal Valerie Ushe.

For one unforgettable day, the youngsters of the pre-school turned the tables, spoiling their elderly friends from the retirement home with affection, entertainment, and tender care. As spring’s promise of renewal filled the atmosphere, generations connected, creating heart-warming memories that would bloom forever.
