ANC Nkangala marches in solidarity with Palestine

The Nkangala Regional Executive Committee of the ANC staged a solidarity march.

The ANC Nkangala Regional Executive Committee organised a solidarity march in eMalahleni.

On Thursday, October 17, the march held from the civic centre to the Emalahleni Jumma Masjid Mosque aimed to show support for Palestinians a year after the Israel-Gaza conflict began.

Poppy Msiza, ANC Nkangala regional executive committee member responsible for mobilisation and campaigns, said, “Today, we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people as the African National Congress. We urge the entire country to support Palestine and condemn any activity harming innocent women and children. As a nation fighting gender-based violence, we cannot tolerate such violence.”

Msiza emphasised the importance of unity and collective action, “We’re here in the eMalahleni sub-region to support the Muslim community and all eMalahleni members, encouraging continued support. We say, ‘Free Palestine!’ ”
