‘Hay’ there, Country Ranch riders are saddling up for success

Country Ranch riders raked up impressive results.

Riders and ponies, representing Country Ranch and Chrysalis, participated in the prestigious Scotchmans Ice Systems Post Derby event held earlier in October.

The event took place on October 19 and 20 at Kyalami Equestrian Club in Gauteng and local riders did extremely well among the top riders in the country.

Minke Searle and Tequila took first place in the junior 1, 10m A2 class.

Minke also ended in sixth place in the junior 110m, second phase class being the fastest four faults.

Megan-Anne Searle and Lollipop made second place their own in the Pony Rider 1m A2.

A third place was obtained by Anouk van Vuuren on Chrysalis Cognac in the junior 1, 20m A2 class.

Anouk also ended in sixth place in the junior 1, 20m championship Derby Trial class, with only one unlucky pole.

Rivan van der Westhuizen on Bonnie took fourth place in the Pony Rider 90cm A2.

This was Rivan and Bonnie’s first 90cm, and they both did exceptionally well in all three of their classes.

Kami van der Merwe and Orions Belt took fifth place in the 1m Pony Rider A2 class.

Kami and Orion had their début in the Bob Charter arena, and they handled it like superstars. She also had a super round in the championship class, finishing just outside the placing.

Mandi Lamprecht on Monamy had a super clear in the pony rider 90cm A2, finishing in seventh place.

The riders also excelled at the Sanesa Nationals that were held in Kyalami in September.

Rivan on Cornerstones Bonnie took two first places, in the 70cm competition and the 70cm second phase.

Kami and Lipizza Baby Tjoklits managed two second places. The pair came second in the 80cm competition and 80cm second phase.

Jade McDougall and Toby took second place in the 80cm and managed a super clear in the 80cm competition.

Mieke Nieuwoudt on Sugar managed a super clear in the 60cm second phase round.

Christo de la Guerre and Willow took first place in the 60cm competition and super clear in the 60cm second phase.
