A-neigh-zing results for Country Ranch Stables
Country Ranch Stables brought home nine Mpumalanga Champion titles.
Students and riders from Country Ranch Stables excelled at the DSA Challenge and Mpumalanga Championships held at Pienaarsdam.
The championships stretched from October 24 to 27.
Riders and their steeds participated in the dressage classes on Friday and showed off their talents in the show jumping classes, which took place on Saturday and Sunday.
Overall, the team brought home nine Mpumalanga Champion titles and several medals and rosettes, which is an excellent achievement.
Annemarie Botes is a Mpumalanga Champion
On dressage day, Annemarie Botes, with her horse Infinite Peace, participated in the graded preliminary and won both classes. She was also crowned the Mpumalanga Champion.
Annemarie also rode Jack Be Wild in the training walk and trot and also won both classes.
Gustav Lubcker with Paris took part in the training novice division, where he secured first and second place.
Gustav also participated in the training preliminary class with Basiaan Quintell and won both classes.
The team had a successful weekend in the show jumping classes.
Ruby Steenkamp and Whisper obtained first places in the pole on the ground A2 competition and second phase competition.
Zinni Patel and Disco Dancer took first place in the 40cm training A2 class.
In the 50cm A2 competition and 50cm second phase competition, Rilee Edwards and Flicka Knight took first place.
In the 60cm A2 competition and 60cm second phase competition, Mianè Steyn and Taylor G took first place.
On Lilly Blush, she took second place in the 90cm championship class, and on Donatello, she took second place in the A2 competition, third place in the second phase competition, and second place in the championship class.
Rachelle van Greunen and Havana took third place in the 60cm A2 competition training.
Ernst Searle and Raphael Raka secured fourth place in the 60cm A2 competition training.
Anouk van Vuuren participated with three horses. On Akash, she took first place in the 70cm graded championship class.
On Nevada, she took first place in the 80cm graded A2 class and second place in the 80cm graded championship class. She also secured first place in the junior-graded 1.10m 2-phase class and junior-graded 1.10m championship class with Chrysalis Cognac.
Jade McDougall and Toby took first place in the 80cm A2 graded competition.
On Monamy, Mandi Lamprecht secured first place in the 90cm A2 graded competition, second place in the 90cm second phase graded class, and first place in the 90cm graded championship class.
Annique Nieuwoudt and Prince Harry took second place in the 90cm graded pony rider A2 class.
Kami van der Merwe and Lipizza Baby Tjoklits managed second places in the pony rider graded 80cm 2-phase class and pony rider graded 80cm championship class.
On Orion’s Belt, she took first place in the pony rider 1m graded A2 class and pony rider 1m graded championship class and second place in the 1m graded second phase class.
Milla van der Merwe and Legend took first place in the junior 90cm graded A2 class and junior 90cm graded championship class.
Minke Searle and Tequila took second place in the junior-graded 1.10m A2 class and junior-graded 1.10m championship class.
Augusta Green and Lady Winterday also performed very well.
With Gustav Lubcker leading the way, Augusta Green managed second place in the adult 1m graded championship class.
With Lady Winterday, he made a clean sweep and took first place in the adult-graded 1.10m second phase class and adult-graded 1.10m championship class.
Anna Botes and Infinite Peace took second place in the 40cm second phase training class.
Anne Marie Botes on Gedap took first place in the 80cm adult championship grade.
