Save up to 3 lives with 1 donation on Red Saturday

Join Red Saturday Lood Drive at KG Mall from 9:00-16:00 and discover the power of giving blood to those in need.

The SANBS and the Western Cape Blood Service’s (WCBS) will host their ‘Red Saturday’ big bleed.

Join SANBS and the WCBS on Saturday, November 30, from 09:00 to 16:00 at KG Mall and make a difference.
This campaign aims to collectively raise at least 5 000 units of blood to help alleviate the added pressure on the blood supply over the busy festive period.

Red Saturday forms part of the SANBS summer campaign, which “aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donations, encourage first-time donors to make donating a lifelong practice, and educate the public on the reciprocal benefits of giving blood,” said Thandi Mosupye, Senior Manager of Marketing, Communication, and Brand at the SANBS.

Red Saturday focuses on the ultimate Black Friday special.

“By donating one unit of blood, you get to save up to three lives,” said Michelle Vermeulen, Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Department at WCBS.
