Holding thumbs and toes for Marcel and Chanzel

Two local bike enthusiasts are competing in the Farm Jam Hare Scramble at Ribbokkloof this weekend.

Marcel and Chanzel Paxton are shifting into higher gear as the weekend’s Farm Jam Hare Scramble is approaching fast.

Marcel (8), a grade three learner from Laerskool Taalfees rides a Husqvarna TC50.

This is the first year Chanzel (12) is competing.

She is racing in the 85cc division on a Yamaha YZ 85.

Chanzel is in grade seven at Laerskool Taalfees.

“We have full confidence in our two little champs,” said mom Chanie Paxton.
