Community meetings in Emalahleni put on hold

Municipal outreach meetings scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality has confirmed postponing all outreach meetings (Izimbizo) scheduled for this weekend.

The decision affects meetings in Wards 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14,16, 17, and 23, which were scheduled for April 5, and Wards 19, 21, 28, 29, 30, and 31 initially scheduled for April 6.

They said they will announce new dates soon.

WITBANK NEWS is waiting for feedback from the municipality on the rumour that the Imbizo’s were stopped by the ‘Mswati must fall’ marchers who allegedly disrupted and forced the municipality to cancel the planned Mayoral Izimbizo that was expected to begin yesterday.
