Suspect nabbed after another Olifants River hijacking

A suspect was arrested after a hijacking at the Olifants River in eMalahleni yesterday.

The hijacking sprees at the Olifants River are tallying up.

But police are confident that there is a breakthrough after an arrest yesterday.

The arrest follows a terrible ordeal a man went through when he went to the river and was surprised by two men, allegedly armed.

The victim told police he was pushed back into his car, tied up and blindfolded, and driven to bushes on Verena Road where he was dropped off.

Luckily for him, a police van stopped, and he was assisted.

His car was later recovered at Tweefontein and police arrested a suspect.

This is a developing story.
