The grounds of Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog were filled with numbers of the city’s residents. People from different sectors within eMalahleni met and made marks in celebration of Youth Month.
Hosted by the Vosman SAPS Youth Empowerment Forum, under the leadership of Khethiwe Mashiyane and Nhlamulo Malungane, the event offered soccer games, volleyball, netball, aerobics, and a braai.
The event featured members of the SAPS, Emalahleni Local Municipality, Emalahleni FM, Department of Traffic, and Department of Correctional Services, who played sports against each other. Winners were awarded for their efforts.
“This also focused on strengthening the working relationship amongst the invited units and departments, to better care for the Emalahleni community,” said Khethiwe.
Brigadier Lindelani Ndlovu from the Vosman Police was among the attendees.
