CIT heist – robbers flee after bombing on R555

The R555 is still closed off as police are fine combing the area for more clues.

The week is off to a start with a CIT heist that occurred this morning.

A cash van was bombed twice.

It is unclear whether the robbers got away with any money.

The heist happened on the R555 off-ramp from the N12.

Police are following up on all information coming through.

There are unconfirmed reports that the robbers hijacked a woman and fled with her car.

According to sources, her car was found on Arras Street.
