Ward 26 battle heats up as 4 parties vie for key seat

Four parties are in the running for the Ward 26 by-election in Ga-Nala.

Ga-Nala has become a hive of political activity this morning as four parties fiercely battle for control of the strategically important Ward 26 seat.

This by-election is shaping up to be a critical test of support in the area, with the ANC fighting to retain the ward against strong challenges from the DA, the EFF, and the MKP.

The four candidates in the running are:

  •                     Surprise Mahlangu (ANC)
  •                     Susanna Liebenberg (DA)
  •                     Joseph Baabua (EFF)
  •                     Sfiso Mhlanga (MKP)

The outcome of this vote is keenly anticipated, as it will provide a crucial indicator of the shifting political landscape ahead of the next general election.

Voters have until 09:00tonight to cast their ballots at the designated voting stations: Ebenezer Gospel Ministries, Kriel High School, Laerskool Krielpark, and the Roman Catholic Church.
