Old Ogies Road accident went down in flames

Six vehicles were involved in a severe accident.

With the season of veld fires comes good and bad, but in this case, the bad came over the old Ogies Road as six vehicles were involved in a severe accident.

On July 31, four people were seriously injured while they were travelling on the old Ogies Road; veld fires went wild and the smoke made it impossible to see oncoming traffic.

Although it is not clear what happened – the cause of the accident was the thick smoke covering the road at the time of the accident.

ER24, Langamed and Bophelo Ambulance Services have dispatched to the scene where patients were stabilised before going to various hospitals.

“Our patient was very seriously injured and had numerous injuries, such as the forehead, head and facial injuries as well as a fractured femur. The paramedics stabilised her on the scene before they rushed her to Witbank General Hospital,” said Mr Dino Padayachee from Langamed.
