Illegal connections leave Eden Park residents in the dark

EDEN PARK – It is alleged by residents that most of the time they have no electricity, and they claim that it is because of illegal electrical connections and people who do not pay their accounts nor want to pay for pre-paid electricity.

“The power is always off. When the power is cut for the non-paying houses, the owners just illegally connect their wires to those of other houses, which is why there are so many burnt wires in the box on the street.

“We urge the council to check on the illegal connections and do something about it,” said a resident who wishes to remain anonymous in fear of intimidation.
