Law enforcement teams unite to tackle crime on Kliprivier Drive
Mondeor and Brackendowns SAPS, JMPD, CPF patrollers and private security companies worked together in a major operation near Wheels and Smoke.
A joint law enforcement operation on Kliprivier Drive on Thursday night led to three arrests, numerous fines, and searches of hundreds of vehicles as authorities stepped up efforts to improve safety and enforce the law in the area.
The operation brought together more than 50 law enforcement officers and security personnel from Mondeor SAPS, Brackendowns SAPS, Mondeor Community Police Forum (CPF) Sector 1 and 3 patrollers, the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), CPS Security, FOX Security, Expol and Fidelity ADT.

The team set up vehicle checkpoints along Kliprivier Drive, near the Wheels and Smoke venue, where officers stopped and searched vehicles as part of efforts to address ongoing concerns in the area.
Saturation patrols and by-law enforcement followed the checkpoints, allowing officers to cover a wider area and address other potential law enforcement issues.

The successful operation forms part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies, community patrollers and private security companies to tackle crime and improve public safety ahead of the festive season.
Mondeor CPF Chairperson Mike Fontes thanked everyone who took part in the operation, highlighting the importance of working together to keep communities safe.

He added that the CPF would carry out more vehicle checkpoints and joint operations in the lead-up to the festive season.
