Pothole problem grows in Alrode

The growing pothole problem has turned sour in the Alrode area, where locals are angered by lack of service delivery.

The potholes have gone without repair for over six months according to residents. Citizens have reported the problem to the municipality without observable action taking place.

Alrode is home to many industrial businesses with heavy vehicles frequently using the roads. Heavy traffic can lead to the formation of potholes. Roads regularly used should be well maintained.

Business owner Peter Habib expressed his frustration with the situation, saying it has become increasingly difficult to look after his investments with the roads in this condition.

Some of the affected roads include Flamink, Boron, Basalt, Borax, Barium, JG Strijdom, Mayberry Park and Hennie Alberts Road.
