Alberton SAPS needs help in finding two suspects who reportedly robbed a truck transporting cigarettes at the corner of Ascot Road and Heidelberg Road in New Market.
It is alleged that victims were confronted by two suspects, one of whom one had a firearm, on July 5 at about 08:17.
According to Capt Manare Ramotshela, Alberton SAPS spokesperson, no shots were fired and there were no injuries on the scene of the crime.
“The suspects left the crime scene with some boxes of cigarettes. All role players attended the scene. A case of robbery with a firearm is being registered for further investigation. Anyone with information can contact Alberton SAPS on 011 907 9148 or 071 675 6872,” he said.
