Compliment for such efficient service parks department

I live in Albertsdal and on November 3, 2021, I called the Ekruhuleni Metropolitan Municipality about a tree on the pavement outside my house.

Needless to say, nothing has ever come of this call despite a reference number et al.

Imagine my delight, but slight scepticism, when I called Maria in Germiston on February 28 and was promised that a team would be allocated to deal with the now very wobbly tree.

Maria was friendly, efficient and understanding and, if I am correct, the service has been outsourced.

Anyway, later that day a lovely gentleman by the name of Mandla Mtsweni, chief of Parks, called me and advised he would allocate a team to correct the matter the following day.

Low and behold a team of efficient representatives from the parks department arrived on March 1 at 12:00. Well, I can tell you it was just incredible.

After months of no activity, in 20 minutes it was sorted and then to top it all, Mandla did a follow-up call in the afternoon to ensure I was satisfied and explain he would have to allocate a truck to remove the neatly piled tree stumps as he did not have one available immediately.

I think I positively gushed as I thanked him profusely!

Things are looking up at last. Keep up the great work!Regards in delighted astonishment
