Mayor congratulates Mashazi on her re-appointment as the city manager

The City of Ekurhuleni congratulates Imogen Mashazi on her re-appointment as the manager of the city.

Ekurhuleni Mayor Tania Campbell congratulated Imogen Mashazi on her re-appointment as the City of Ekurhuleni’s manager on April 29.

According to Campbell, the re-appointment will help in maintaining the stability of the administration and ensure that the development goals of the municipality are realigned with the ‘Back-to-Basics’ vision.

“The residents of Ekurhuleni deserve an administration that works for them and is committed to delivering quality services to the citizens,” said Campbell.

Mashazi holds over 25 years of experience in the local government sphere and was elected as the first female City of Ekurhuleni manager in 2016.

Under her leadership, Ekurhuleni was awarded two clean audit opinions for the 2019/21 and 2020/21 financial years consecutively.

In addition, the city recently received a credit rating upgrade by two notches from negative to stable.

Campbell wished Mashazi the best of luck with her enormous task ahead.
