Eden Park Boxing Club opens, encourages residents to sign up

The Eden Park Boxing Club has opened its doors for 2025’s training and boxing bouts. Sydney Kok, the club chairperson, says they are ready to welcome back their existing members and new fighters.
“We are back from operating limited training because many of our fighters were on December holidays. We only trained with those who have upcoming fights in early February.
“But we are now officially open for everybody, old and new fighters. We call on all interested residents to sign up to join our club and get full training programmes from experienced coaches and boxers,” said Kok.
The club trains boys and girls as young as eight and adult males and females. Last year was one of its best: Its fighters won 63 out of 75 bouts, losing only 12.
“This is a huge improvement from the previous years, and we are proud of our fighters and coaches for this achievement. I thank coach Darryl Carl for consistently keeping our boxers in great shape,” added Kok.
The club’s goal is to send four of its boxers to compete in the South African National Boxing Championships later this year.
