Survivor breaks her silence after fatal accident in Liefde en Vrede
Lewis suffered serious injuries on October 30 and is still recovering.
A woman in her 20s was killed in a collision between two light motor vehicles on Swartkoppies Road in Liefde en Vrede on October 30.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 02:40 to find the wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road.
According to Samatha Lewis, one of the people involved in the accident, she was not walking around the scene at any point in time.
“My boyfriend was walking around with a friend who he called for help after the accident.
“I couldn’t even walk and I must have smashed my face because I was knocked out and woke up on the road. I suffered serious injuries, including a broken nose that required stitches. My lungs were completely inflated and three of my ribs were broken,” said Lewis.
