Long-serving Alberton SAPS members were presented with new ranks as they took up new positions on November 16.
Ten men and women in blue were recognised as they entered into new ranks from constables to sergeants to warrant officers.
According to station commander Colonel Olven Letloenyane, the promotion of the appointees looked at how long one was in a rank or service and focused on their clean record.
“I’m pleased to see our members growing. They will now be required to take initiative and focus on other areas in their line of work,” explained Letloenyane.
