The Thokoza couple is officially off the market.
The young Thokoza couple, Amanda Zondo (22) and Tumelo Majoro (28), tied the knot on December 10 at Alberton City Shopping Centre after a year of being together.
The engagement followed after the couple went on a quick shopping spree at the shopping centre and, to Amanda’s surprise, Tumelo knelt in front of her and proposed marriage.
According to Amanda, their relationship began on November 18 last year, and they have been together ever since.
“Today, we are getting married and I am happy. Spending your life with someone you love, who truly understands you and sees the best in you, is wonderful. I’ve prayed for this opportunity to get married young, and now it’s happening.”
Tumelo said he was thrilled, joyful, and grateful that he will now marry the love of his life.
“We met at church and it has been a wonderful journey. We are finally going to be locked in a prison called love. and even if the keys get lost, I do not care because I will be with the person I love,” said Tumelo.
Tumelo added that he would like to say thank you to the Alberton City Shopping Centre’s team, his friends, family and everyone who made the day possible.
Tumelo went on to say his message to the community is that they must know that true love still exists.
“Go look outside and you will get the person you have been praying for,” said Tumelo.
Lenita Camacho, the marketing manager for Alberton City Shopping Centre, said that she was taken aback when Tumelo and Amanda asked her for help planning their wedding and permission to get married at the centre.

“I was surprised because this was a first for us, but we were so happy and eager to help them celebrate their special day.
“Tumelo thought it was perfect because he proposed to Amanda at the centre. It was only fitting that he shared his special day with us, as we had been with him throughout this entire journey.
“It was truly unique in every way, and we at the centre are grateful to be able to share these special moments with our customers.”
Camacho added that the centre wishes them a lifetime of love, blessings, and health, and who knows, maybe this will be the first of many weddings at the centre.
