Kliprivier Detective Unit secures 6 convictions, earning station recognition

Kliprivier SAPS remains committed to fighting crime.

The Kliprivier Detective Unit secured six convictions for various offences, including shoplifting and illegal immigration, demonstrating their commitment to upholding the law.

The cases were investigated by Sergeant Ubisi, Sergeant McDougall, Constable Botes, and Constable Simelane, leading to sentences that included 12 months’ imprisonment, 6 months’ imprisonment, fines of R6 000, and a 10-day imprisonment term.

Station commander Lieutenant Colonel Leketi Jan Mofokeng commended the detectives for their diligent investigative work, which contributed to the prosecution of these cases.

Because of these convictions, the station’s detective division received a four-star award, further solidifying Kliprivier SAPS’s reputation for effective policing.
