Hoërskool Dinamika’s Internal Speakers competition shines spotlight on young talent
A day of eloquence and persuasion, Hoërskool Dinamika’s Internal Speakers event saw impressive performances from learners, with Megan Botha and Matteo du Preez claiming top honours in the junior and senior categories respectively.
Hoërskool Dinamika hosted its highly anticipated Internal Speakers event, showcasing the public speaking talent of its learners.
The competition, designed to provide learners with a platform to express themselves confidently in Afrikaans, saw a remarkable turnout of participants across various age groups.
The event not only allowed participants to share their perspectives but also aimed to develop crucial skills such as topic formulation, speech organisation, persuasive language use, and emotional resilience.
By participating, learners gain valuable experience that will serve them well in their academic and professional futures.
In the junior category, Megan Botha emerged as the top speaker, delivering a compelling performance that earned her first place. Shevanne Muller followed closely in second, with Wian Carelse securing the third spot.
The senior category saw fierce competition, but it was Matteo du Preez who took home the top honours. Mia Coetzee claimed second place, while Anika Kriel rounded out the top three.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of oratory skills in shaping confident, effective communicators—skills that are increasingly crucial in today’s world.
