Brackensdowns community donations make Stepping Stone Hospice a home
CPS Security and Brackendowns Ext 1, along with service providers, have banded together to support Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services.

The collaborative effort has resulted in a fundraising raffle hamper for Mother’s Day, with all proceeds going towards raising vital funds for the organisation. Two hampers can be won.
This joint venture was conceptualised when Charlotte Carvalho approached residents from Brackendowns Ext 1 and CPS Security to explore ways to give back to Stepping Stone Hospice.
In their quest to support the 5-star rated Hospice in raising much-needed funds for their massive building project, the idea of donating a hamper quickly gained traction, with local service providers eagerly joining the initiative.
Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services, an NPO dedicated to providing high-quality palliative care to patients and their families was selected to receive the hamper, which consists of various treats and items.
Participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win the amazing hampers.

“Charlotte reached out to us about putting this hamper together, and we jumped on board as soon as we heard about this beautiful initiative.
“Charity work is very close to our hearts. Not only are we passionate about keeping our community safe, but we are also passionate about lending a helping hand,” said Charlene Matthews from CPS Security.
For only R10 per entry, the Mother’s Day hampers consist of a journal, a travelling pillow, mouth-watering treats, handmade soaps and accessories, a 1 000-piece puzzle, a flamingo plate, a decorated pillow, a face mask, water, and several gift sets.
Their virtual draw will be held on May 9.
A portion of the raffle prizes will be used to enhance the Stepping Stone Hospice Children’s Unit, bringing joy and comfort to the young patients who call it home.
Some of the additional donated prizes include a R1 000 Meat World Butchery voucher from CPS, two Cherubs coffee vouchers valued at R130 each, and an R800 cash donation.
Tersia Burger, Stepping Stone Hospice’s CEO and founder, extended her heartfelt gratitude to the members of CPS Security, Charlotte, and Brackendowns residents who went above and beyond to support the entity.
