Experts to discuss bird flu’s next wave with poultry farmers

Experts will discuss various issues around avian influenza and mitigating its impact.

Poultry farmers and those interested in the industry can attend a Zoom meeting (webinar) on bird flu’s next wave and its economic and health risks.

Experts will discuss its implications for the poultry industry and strategies to reduce its impact on bird farmers.

The panellists will include Dr Shahn Bisschop, a vet with extensive experience in animal health, Professor Robert Bragg, an expert in microbiology, and Dr Takalani Mpofu, an animal health expert. Izaak Breitenbach from the South African Poultry Association and Francios Baird, who has years of experience in the poultry industry, will also form part of the panel.
