Revival City College learners excel in Mathematics Challenge

As they prepare to take on the next stage of the competition, the school beams with pride at their incredible achievement.

Revival City College is thrilled to announce that five of its learners have been selected to participate in the second round of the prestigious South African Mathematics Challenge, organised by the South African Mathematics Foundation.

The staff and management of the college are proud of each of these students for their achievements.

A group of learners who performed exceptionally well in their first-term mathematics results were chosen to take part in the first round of the challenge, which was held at their respective schools on March 11.

The competition featured multiple-choice questions based on the application of concepts covered in each grade.
Mastering these questions required not only a strong recall of the content but also the ability to apply logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Following the first round, five learners from Revival City College earned their spot in the second round of the competition.

The second round will take place on May 22 at various participating schools, with results marked electronically.

The learners who excel in this round will be invited to participate in the third round, which will be held at an external venue.

The learners selected to represent the college are Alexi Rogers, Bohlale Nthabane and Karabo Mpiti from Grade Four, and Katiso Makhoba and Likhaya Ngqakayi from Grade Six.
