The state-of-the-art facility provides young learners with essential swimming skills, fostering confidence and safety in the water.
Junior Colleges Meyersdal has taken a significant step in water safety and swimming education with the grand opening of its brand-new ‘learn to swim’ pool.
The facility, designed to help students gain essential swimming skills, was officially inaugurated this week.
The state-of-the-art pool is tailored specifically for beginner swimmers, featuring shallow depths, heated water, and expert instructors to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

The initiative aims to equip students with fundamental swimming techniques while promoting confidence in the water.
Principal Elriza Riddle expressed enthusiasm about the new facility. “This pool represents our commitment to student safety and well-being. Learning to swim is a vital life skill, and we are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students.”

Parents have welcomed the initiative, emphasising the importance of swimming education in preventing water-related accidents.
With the pool now open, students are eager to dive into their lessons and develop their swimming skills. The school hopes this initiative will not only teach students how to swim but also instil a lifelong appreciation for water safety and fitness.
