Spring Tea celebration unites Alberton pensioners in colour and fellowship

Laughter, music, and friendship filled the Alberton Methodist Church as pensioners gathered for a special Spring Tea hosted with Amcare.

Alberton Methodist Church, in collaboration with Amcare, hosted a lively Spring Tea on September 17, creating a day filled with entertainment, laughter, and fellowship for local pensioners.

The event, held from 10:00 until the afternoon, embraced the season’s spirit with a “spring-inspired” dress code. Guests arrived in bright, colourful outfits, adding vibrancy to the gathering.

As part of their entrance, attendees brought along non-perishable food items to support the organisation’s ongoing community outreach.

Pastor Roy Edwards entertained the crowd with uplifting songs, prompting many to stand and dance along.

Guests were treated to delicious refreshments and had the chance to win raffle prizes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

“The purpose of the event was to give the elders a space to engage with each other and relax,” she said.
